Power Poker Holding Malta Poker Open Satellites

During the months of August and September of 2010, Power Poker will be holding satellite tournaments in order to give away a number of prize packages valued at more than $2,500 every two weeks, each of which includes a seat in the Malta Poker Open, taking place October 29 - 31, 2010.

The 2010 Malta Poker Open will be held at Portomaso Casino in the village of St. Julians, in Malta. Besides the €1,100 buy-in into the Malta Poker Open main event, winners of the "MPO" prize packages (as Power Poker calls them) will also get 5 nights of luxury accommodations at the St. Julians Hilton Hotel, entry to an exclusive players Welcome Party taking place at the Hilton's Club 22, and funds to apply toward your air fare to Malta. The Power Poker Team will accompany the prize package winners to the event and make sure that they have a good time during their stay.

In order to win one of these 2010 Malta Poker Open prize packages, Power Poker only asks you to play in at least 1,001 raked hands during one of the two week periods of the promotion. The two week periods, after each of which, one prize package will be awarded to the most successful player, are: August 1 - 15, August 16 - 31, September 1 - 15, and September 16 - 30.

The qualifiers then, with a player pool made up of players who either successfully accumulated at least 1,001 raked hands at Power Poker during one of the above mentioned time periods or paid the €1,500 + €150 direct entry, are, respectively: August 18, September 3, September 18, and August 3. Each of these qualifiers starts at 18:00 GMT.

For players who want an easy way to get to the Malta Poker Open without having to win their seat in a satellite tournament, Power Poker is also selling MPO packages outright for $2,500.
